Language and Quality
All uploaded documents, including invitation letters and business references, must be in English. Documents in other languages may lead to rejection.
Upload clear, legible, and valid documents in the prescribed formats to avoid delays or rejection.
General Requirements (All Categories)
- Scanned copy of the passport bio page (photo and personal details visible).
- Passport validity: at least six (6) months from the date of intended arrival in Sri Lanka.
- Clear scan; all text and images must be readable.
- No passport photo upload is required for e‑Tourist and e‑Business applications.
e‑Tourist Visa Documents
- Mandatory: scanned passport bio page (clear and complete).
- Purpose of visit: tourism, recreation, sightseeing, visiting family/friends, short cultural or spiritual programs.
- Ensure passport validity of at least six months from entry date.
- Itinerary or return flight details may be requested by immigration on arrival.
e‑Business Visa Documents
- Mandatory: scanned passport bio page.
- Business invitation letter from a Sri Lankan company or organization (purpose and duration; on official letterhead, dated, and signed).
- Or: applicant’s business card or employer letter confirming professional background and travel purpose.
- Purpose: meetings, conferences, exhibitions, or exploring business ventures in Sri Lanka.
File Formats and Upload Rules
- Accepted formats: PDF or JPEG.
- Max file size: 1 MB per file.
- Ensure all files are clear, readable, and complete.
- Blurred, incomplete, or cropped documents may cause delays or rejection.
