Please read and follow these guidelines carefully before submitting your online application to avoid delays or rejection.
1. Eligibility and General Conditions

- Diplomatic, Official, or Refugee Travel Documents are not eligible; apply via an Embassy or Consulate.
- Each traveler must hold a separate passport (endorsements are not eligible).
- e‑Visa is valid for tourism, business, or short‑term visits only — not for employment, study, or long‑term residency.
2. Passport Requirements
- Passport valid for at least six (6) months from date of entry.
- At least two blank pages for visa stamping and endorsements.
- Application details must exactly match the passport; discrepancies may lead to rejection.
3. Application Timeline
- Apply 3–4 days before travel to allow verification time.
- Applications can be submitted up to 180 days in advance.
- Incomplete details or missing documents may delay processing or result in refusal.
4. Travel and Entry Requirements
- Carry a printed copy of the approved e‑Visa (ETA) when entering Sri Lanka.
- Visitors must possess a valid return/onward ticket and sufficient funds for their stay.
- Entry is subject to final approval by the Immigration Officer at the port of entry.
- Approval does not guarantee entry if immigration or security requirements are not met.
5. Category‑Specific Requirements

For tourism, recreation, visiting family/friends, or short cultural programs.
Supporting documents such as hotel bookings or itineraries may be requested upon arrival.

8. Fees and Refund Policy
All e‑Visa fees, including government and service charges, are non‑refundable once the application is submitted. Refunds are only considered under conditions detailed in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
